Our place

The SPA privé Uzès organizes wellness stays in a private and elegant place. The "Roman Villa" offers discrete and unique spaces for individual treatments such as its Roman atrium, oriental bathroom, Japanese garden, steam bath and sauna house.

Relax among friends or as a couple and enjoy our private wellness areas while being our guests for half a day or a several days lasting holiday stay. 

Our values are based on Roman traditions, combined with a warm welcome. We cooperate with professional health specialists and organize special days to discover our offer and wellness thèmes (Roman traditions, scented by fresh lavender in July, Ayruveda massage and cooking classes, etc.). Uzès is a beautiful medieval city, embraced by its provencal athmosphere and authenticity.

You can join our place by walking on the river banks of Alzon and across the green vallée d'Eure (30 minutes walk), following the ancient traces of the roman acqueduct, that paces in of our house. A welcome drink will be served for everybody, coming without a car. 

Sanitas Per Aquam

We literally apply the word SPA by its origines: Sanitas per Acquam (Health through water). The element water is omnipresent and our wellness rituals are inspired by ancient traditions, using local and natural ingredients, the warm weather and light and open spaces.

We are situated on the traces of the Roman aqueduc, leading from the fountain in our beautiful medieval town to the emperor's Augustus famous city, Nemausus, nowadays called Nîmes. A walking trail passes right in front of our house towards the historical city center of our town.

The roman villa is unique in its layout and design and disposes of a bright atrium, where we serve the tea or organize open air wellness treatments "à la Cleopatre", and water fountains, wall reliefs, mosaiques, carved stones (pilliers, arches ), ..., that all remember ancient local traditions and our proximity to the famous Pont du Gard.  

Holistic wellness

We consider well-being as a whole and offer relaxation in a healthy environment, embraced by nature and a beautiful garden. All our treatment areas dispose of private terraces and access to reluctant garden areas.

During your (usually) 2 hours wellness stay (price on request up to groupe size) you may choose one of these three wellness areas (Sauna house, steam bath or oriental bathroom with jacuzzi - 2 people)  and enjoy a private wellness seccion during one hour of your stay. Other seccions can be booked in addition, same as massages for relaxation or beauty treatments.

A yoga class can be added to your 2 hours wellness stay (from 4 people onwards) and a tea and fruit bar will be at your disposal, same as water fountains and oriental snacks.

Our delicious, home made dishes are based on organic and Ayurveda cooking. And external massage specialists offer wellness treatments on request and pre-reservation.

Wellness-Events

We organize healthy and pleasant wellness themes (Facebook) and provide organic and ayurvedic food.

The entire villa can be privatized for retreats and specialists, but also for personal (wellness) events, such as bridal showers, birthday partys or romantic occasions. 

Our beautiful garden and pool built a natural setting for deeply relaxing outdoor breaks, such as during our "Sunny lunch breaks", "Candle light evenings" or  "Sauna-feeling" with private use of the sauna chalet and its veranda. A garden bistro and pool is at all our guests disposal.

Since we are in a southern and very demanded touristic region, we assist in travel arrangements and cooperate with local hotels and guest houses. For groupes, we offer transport service and guided visits to wine caves, olive oil mills, beekeepers, truffle farmers, etc.. We are 30 km from Avignon, the famous pope town, with its annual theater festival in July and close to sightseeing attractions such as the Camargue, Côte d'Azur, and provencal sites: Baux de Provence, Orange, etc.
